CEO and Director, Tilia Inc.
CFO, Linden Research, Inc.
Aston is the CEO of Tilia Inc., where he’s responsible for the business of Tilia, and also serves on the Board of Directors of Tilia. Aston is also the CFO of Linden Research, Inc., the parent company of Tilia Inc. As CFO of Linden, Aston oversees all financial matters of the company. Aston has over ten years of experience in senior management experience at gaming / virtual world companies in Silicon Valley. Prior to Linden Lab and Tilia, Aston served as Corporate Controller at Trion Worlds, Inc. Aston began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he worked on a wide range of clients including Chevron, URS and SunPower.
He is a CPA and received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business.
Chief Compliance Officer
Emily Stonehouse is responsible for the company’s compliance functions. Emily has over 20 years of experience and joined Linden Lab from Pacific Coast Bankers Bank (PCBB), where she served as the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Officer. In that role she completely restructured the BSA Program to meet current regulatory expectations.
Prior to PCBB, Emily was Vice President of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Operations at Charles Schwab, as well as the AML Officer for optionsXpress, a subsidiary of Schwab. In these roles she worked extensively with regulators, auditors and various internal stakeholders to comply with the laws and regulations for anti-money laundering and sanctions programs.
VP of Engineering
Ray Johnson is VP of Engineering at Tilia. He has extensive experience building and managing software engineering teams. He most recently served as Chief Architect & SVP at YP Holdings.
Prior to that he led several teams related to AT&T's advertising business as VP of Engineering at AT&T Interactive.

Director and Secretary
Kelly is currently General Counsel for Manticore Games, and was formerly General Counsel at Linden Lab where she was responsible for the company legal affairs. Prior to that, she was Vice President of Legal and Business Affairs at Trion Worlds Inc. As an industry veteran with more than 10 years in the entertainment industry, she has played an instrumental role in negotiating and concluding development and distribution agreements at several companies. Her work also includes management of corporate transactions, investor relations and intellectual property portfolios. Conway was also part of the legal department at Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) for nearly six years.
Ben is a fintech compliance and product leader with deep experience across the financial services, regulatory, and technology industries. Before co-founding Beam, Ben served as Chief Compliance Officer of Facebook Payments from the subsidiary’s 2010 formation through mid-2015.
While at Facebook, Ben built a global compliance team, managed worldwide licenses and regulator relationships, and directed internal compliance software builds and external compliance software requisition. Prior to Facebook, Ben worked at PayPal and represented payments and platform companies in private practice as an attorney. Ben has also consulted with and served on the Boards of Directors of several fintechs, including startups and established companies, and taught classes at Santa Clara Law. He earned his J.D. at the University of California, Berkeley.
